Who We Are

Blake Kooi MA, LPC
Therapist
My approach to therapy is grounded in authenticity. Together, we explore your past thoughts and emotions that have shaped your experience. We slow down, remember, and reconnect with what’s real— not the kind of truth that floats above us, but the kind we feel in our bones. Sometimes the results are uncomfortable, but that discomfort is honest. I view reflection as a methodology: looking in the mirror, not to shame, but to make sure you’re still there, that you matter, and that you are comfortable with what you see. From that place, we can notice how your choices shape your life and relationships – and whether they reflect the person you want to be.
Therapy with me is not perfect, but it is real—raw, thoughtful, and significant. It’s a pursuit of understanding reality, pattern by pattern, until what once felt chaotic starts to form meaning. Then, therapy becomes a practice of adjusting your inner formula—examining how your biases, fears, and attachments shape your interpretations of the world. Each insight offers feedback, a gentle invitation to grow, and a direction to move towards. I understand that the world can feel fragile at times—we can fear that we might change the world for the worse—but wisdom gives us the strength to engage it anyway. In our shared pursuit of becoming better, we feel more whole, we leave naive fantasies behind, and we engage in reality in a way that is truly impactful.

Emily VanDyke, LLPC
Therapist
At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to helping individuals reconnect with their inner voice—especially when it has been muted by grief, anxiety, depression, or systems that have told them who they should be. Through a compassionate, empathic, and person-centered approach, I walk alongside clients as they explore who they are, what they feel, and how they want to show up in the world.
I work with couples, adolescents (ages 15+), and adults. I take an integrative and holistic approach to counseling, drawing from a range of modalities including art therapy techniques, nervous system–informed work, and mindfulness practices.
I support clients through life transitions, identity development, and experiences within the LGBTQIA+ community. I value creativity, authenticity, curiosity, and connection, and strive to create a therapeutic space where clients feel safe enough to speak honestly, experiment with self-expression, and be fully seen and heard. I believe that healing happens when people are supported in naming their experiences and honoring their humanity. I am committed to ensuring each individual feels valued—not just as a client, but as a whole person.
